CBS installs Vega folder gluer

As part of a continued growth and expansion programme that involves acquiring companies and investing in new equipment, Corrugated Box Supplies Ltd, trading as CBS Packaging, has purchased a Vega Altair 200 corrugated folder gluer from UK and Ireland agent, Friedheim International.

CBS Packaging specialises in manufacturing cardboard boxes in various quantities and in a variety of styles and sizes using different grades and colours of corrugated board: these include standard, die cut, display unit, four-point glued, display tray, crash-lock and shelf ready options. Fefco style boxes with integral parts, either self locking, glued or stitched, plain or printed, are also capable of being produced.

The Vega Altair 200 is said to be ‘perfect’ for the company as it has provided added flexibility and quality to the production processes. It allows CBS to offer crash lock and corner blanks up to two metres wide in flute grades E, B, C and double wall. The company is also able to undertake six point gluing orders. With running speeds of up to 200 metres per minute and five squaring sections, the Altair 200 folder gluer provides the accuracy, quality and speed required to move the company forward and better address the needs of its customers.
