Heidelberg UK unveils enhanced training programmes

Heidelberg is launching a tranche of new training courses at its national showroom in Brentford over the coming six months.
‘Customer surveys tell us time and again that there is a thirst for knowledge, a means of accessing good training that offers a mix of practical and theoretical development,’ said John Murphy, who heads up the training at Heidelberg UK
‘One of the barriers to education is loss of productivity at the plant so our courses are generally one or two days in length. It is not a huge time or money investment and the payback is that equipment is run to its maximum potential, that quality or productivity is enhanced and staff are more motivated.
‘The feedback we get is that it has been a great investment, value for money and fun and rewarding for the participants,’

The courses, mostly costing £820 per person per day, and dates are as follows:

Productivity by evaluation – Analyse Point: 15-16 October or 10-11 December 2014, 4-5 February 2015
Understanding colour theory: 17 September 2014, 25 February 2015
Controlling colour in the real world: 21-22 October 2014, 21-22 January 2015
Introduction to print media: 2 September 2014, 3 February 2015
Introduction to coating and drying: 11-12 September 2014, 20-21 January 2015
Hei Performance press operation: 7-8 October or 19-20 November 2014, 14-15 January or 11-12 February 2015
Workforce optimisation for finishing operatives: 29-30 October 2014, 17-18 February 2015
Advanced folding techniques: 23-24 September or 25-26 November 2014
