AMS has announced that it has been appointed by Buskro to supply its complete range of inkjet equipment. The new agreement will enable AMS to promote, sell, and distribute all Buskro products in the UK.
On top of this agreement, AMS has trained technicians capable of servicing existing Buskro machines in UK as well the capability to provide ink and supplies to existing UK customers.
Kevin McPheat, managing director of AMS, commented: ‘We are delighted to be working with Buskro. By combining AMS’s extensive knowledge and expertise in mailing equipment and Buskro’s experience in manufacturing leading inkjet technologies, we can offer our customers more choice when deciding on the most appropriate solution to meet their ever changing digital mailing needs.’
Buskro has a long and successful history of developing integrated multi-head inkjet solutions and the first product AMS is supplying is the Atom Portable Print System. This is being showcased at an open day in Hertfordshire on 22 and 23 October 2014.
The newly released Atom Portable Print System produces crisp, high quality text and images at high speeds on even the most challenging substrates. It is ideally used for addressing and simple variable inkjet personalisation applications, and includes a 375 ml ink bottle supporting both solvent and UV curable inks.

It comes with Ethernet and serial connections that accept serial data in either .csv, or LF/FF formats. The software interface allows users to use their own PC to run it. This is a first in the high volume commercial inkjet market as it eliminates the cost of a ‘specialised’ proprietary computer.
As well as a high capacity ink bottle, the system includes an ink delivery and vacuum management system, a single electronic control and the print engine. The print engine, available in both a 65 mm at 300 dpi or 25 mm at 256 dpi versions, employs drop on-demand print technology and is suitable for most print media. It can be purchased as a system by itself, or added as an upgrade to any existing inkjet system.
