Morgana Systems has announced two new dates for its Pro Tour. Newport’s Parc Golf Club plays host to an event on September 9, with a 10 am start, with Bristol Golf Club hosting the event two days later, September 11.
The events will showcase Morgana finishing equipment for digital printers as well as exhibits from friends at Vpress, Roland, and GMG Colour. Print companies of all shapes and sizes are welcome to go and experience this excellent range of latest solutions.
The Pro Tour will see a focus on both PUR binding, with a Morgana DigiBook 200, and bookletmaking, with the very latest System 2000 product alongside the Morgana Square Back finishing unit. Other post press products on show will include the CardXtra Plus business card cutting machine and the essential tool for digital print production, the AutoCreaser 33.

Speaking about the events, Wendy Baker, marketing project manager at Morgana Systems, said: ‘Morgana Systems is the technological leader in finishing for digital print. We don’t wait for a trend to emerge onto the market – instead we come up with finishing solutions that lead the way in speeding up print production.’
She continued, ‘Finishing is the last thing you do with a job, but the first thing your customer sees. Poor finishing can ruin a prestige piece of digital print, whereas a well finished piece of work can impress even the most demanding of clients. At the Morgana Pro Tour events we will be demonstrating a wide range of print finishing systems designed specifically for digitally printed documents to give any print producers customers’ the best possible results. The event will also allow visitors to see product from a number of other excellent partners.’
The Morgana Systems DigiBook 200 PUR perfect binder handles spine lengths from 110 to 320 mm and the maximum thickness is 50 mm. Retractable spine milling means that the device can go from soft to hard cover binding at the flick of a switch. Side gluing for the cover hinge is adjustable depending upon the cover style required.
Demand for PUR binding from digital printers has been growing swiftly in recent years. The DigiBook range from Morgana Systems has proved extremely popular with print operations seeking a more effective and substantial bind than that offered by regular hot melt devices.
