Oh, we do love Christmas!
This year the Kent & East Sussex Railway in Tenterden is celebrating 40 years of Santa Specials.
When you arrive at Tenterden station you will be greeted by the music from a traditional pipe organ and can enjoy unlimited rides on a traditional Victorian carousel.
On board the festively decorated steam trains you can meet Father Christmas during the hour and ten minute return journey to Northiam Station. Children should also look out for the elves whose sacks are full of lovely presents. Every child up to the age of 12 will receive a gift according to their age to take home and put under the tree. Older children between the ages of 13 and 15 years will each receive a gift of festive chocolates.

After your journey on the Santa Special, families can take a miniature train ride to meet the beautiful Snow Queen where a professional family photograph will be taken. Each family member included in the picture will receive their very own colour photograph as a memento of their day.
For a small additional cost the Railway’s licenced restaurant serves a selection of hot lunches and snacks or there’s always delicious takeaway food from the BBQ.
Early booking is recommended.
