Celebrate Thomas’s 70th birthday
Thomas the Tank Engine will be pulling into Tenterden Station on 14, 15 and 21, 22 February 2015, and he’s bringing some of his favourite friends too!
Next year sees the 70th birthday of The Railway Series by the Rev W Awdry and the release of its first book, The Three Railway Engines.
So, go and meet the Fat Controller and take a ride on Annie and Clarabel behind Thomas at Tenterden station. Look out for a naughty diesel engine and the troublesome trucks.

Everyone can experience an enchanting one hour, 10 minute return steam train ride through picturesque countryside between Tenterden and Northiam Station.
Don’t miss all the activities with Uncle Myles, Charlie the Clown and Billy the Magic Rabbit. There will also be face painting, roundabout rides and a bouncy castle.
The Fat Controller will open the gates at 10 am each day and trains depart from Tenterden at 10.20 am, 10.55 am, 11.50 am, 12.25 pm, 1.20 pm, 1.55 pm and 2.50 pm.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.dayoutwiththomas.co.uk/kentandeastsussexrailway or phone 01580 765155 or visit www.kesr.org.uk for more information.
Tickets are £17 for adults, children over 18 months to 15 years inclusive are £13 and a family ticket for two adults and two children are £51.50. First Class has a supplement of £4 per person. Babes in arms under 18 months are carried free of charge, providing they do not occupy a seat.
Children each receive a free sticker and A ‘Day Out With Thomas’ certificate to take home.
