Cinderella panto launch – oh, no it isn't!

Oh, yes it is!

The cast of the Assembly Hall Theatre’s upcoming production of Cinderella was unveiled at a launch event at Chiddingstone Castle, Chiddingstone.

Panto stars on board for the event were Dani Harmer (Cinderella) and Louise Jameson (Fairy Godmother) along with Owen Thompson (Prince Charming), Jamie Rickers (Buttons), David Ball and Byron Mondahl (The Ugly Sisters).

Dani Harmer is known to millions of children for her starring role in CBBC’s highly successful series The Story of Tracy Beaker and Tracy Beaker Returns, and more recently for reaching the final in BBC1 series Strictly Come Dancing with her professional dance partner Vincent Simone. Dani has also appeared in pantomimes such as Peter Pan, Jack and the Beanstalk, Dick Whittington andThe Wizard of Oz and starred in the 40th Anniversary Tour of The Rocky Horror Show.

Joining Dani will be Louise Jameson, as Fairy Godmother. Best known for her role as Rosa di Marco in BBC 1’s top soap opera EastEnders, she also became known to millions of television viewers through her roles in such popular television series as BBC’s Doctor Who, Tenko and Bergerac.

The cast also includes Jamie Rickers as Cinderella’s best friend Buttons. Jamie is a familiar face on CiTV and Nickelodeon, with hosting Toonattik and Jamie and Anna’s U-Pick Summer. The Ugly Sisters are played by David Ball and Byron Mondahl and Owen Thompson plays Prince Charming.

The show promises magical family entertainment for the festive season – what would Christmas be without pantomime? Or Christmas just isn’t Christmas without a dose of pantomime fun?
