2500 participants took part in the Kent Run at Hever Castle
On Saturday 3 October, 2500 runners took part in the world’s most colourful 5 km, running, walking and dancing event, filling the stunning scenery of the Hever Castle grounds with colour. Bringing the spectacular burst of ‘Run or Dye’ colour to the Garden of England, the event saw runners and walkers of all ages join the event.

Participants were showered with safe, eco friendly, plant based corn starch dye in a rainbow of colours at every kilometre. After they crossed the finish line, runners and their supporters celebrated their achievement with the world’s most colourful party, the famous Dye Festival with MC Sam making sure the celebrations kept going. Participants took part in the Dye Games with crowd versus crowd competitions, Dye Blasts and Tie Dye-ing the Sky.

Help for Heroes is the official national charity partner and several of the Band of Brothers and Sisters joined the crowds on Saturday, cheering on the wounded servicemen, women and veterans who ran alongside members of the public taking part. Volunteers from local charity partner, St Lawrence CE Primary School and neighbouring schools, covered the runners from head to toe with dye throughout the course as families, friends and colleagues ran and walked together.
Alison Saunders, headteacher at St Lawrence CE Primary School, said: ‘We are thrilled to be part of this and be involved in such a fun, colourful event. Fundraising is key to improving the future of the children at the school’
