Summer diesel gala

From 4 to 7 August 2016, the Spa Valley Railway will be running its annual summer diesel extravaganza, which will commence at 9:30 on Thursday 4 August. Visitors can see a variety of locomotives in action over the four day event – some of the locomotives will be arriving from as far afield as Wales and Manchester!

Complementing the line up will be the newly acquired Class 09 09026 'Cedric Wares' which will, subject to completion of heavy maintenance, be operating its first passenger services in preservation.

Along the line will be 20 real ales and 6 ciders – most will be available from Bar Car 'Kate' which is located on Set A of the trains – this set will form the ‘real ale’ train throughout the event.

Tickets start from £25 for a one day adult rover ticket and 12.50 for a child. Tickets can be purchased online at www.spavalleyrailway.co.uk

Passes are also available for anyone wishing to attend more than one day of the event and tickets are priced accordingly.
