Congratulations!

Entrepreneur Jane Healy, from Tunbridge Wells, will join over 400 women from all walks of life at the Women of the Year Lunch as a ‘2016 Women of Achievement’. Each guest is regarded as a ‘Woman of the Year’ and represents not only herself, but the millions of women who make a difference every day.

Jane has been asked to attend this year’s annual event due to the successful launch of her own skincare company ‘Seacreme’ in 2015. She was inspired to create ‘Seacreme’ after the natural healing powers of the sea provided her skin with much needed relief after a life threatening accident involving a methylated spirit stove left her with permanent scarring at just nien years old. The ‘Seacreme’ products use a careful blend of sea minerals and other ingredients to recreate the benefits of the sea in a range of face and hand creams which can be purchased online and at selected department stores.

Despite her trials, Jane has faced her challenges head on with grit, determination and positivity – and now she wants to inspire others to do the same. Using her own story as her inspiration, Jane not only manages ‘Seacreme’ but runs workshops and life changing seminars for individuals and organisations which are designed to encourage people to seek positives and look beyond the negatives, whatever life may throw at them.

Jane has spoken honestly about her experiences in the media, with high profile coverage in national publications such as The Sun, The Mail on Sunday and Your Magazine. And in September 2014, she made her debut live television appearance on ITV’s This Morning.

She commented, ‘It was a special moment when I was nominated for ‘Woman of the Year’. Launching a new business hasn’t been without its challenges, as any new business owner knows, but the launch of ‘Seacreme’ has undoubtedly been one of my biggest personal achievements of my life. I am looking forward to growing the business over the coming months and years by adding new skincare lines to our existing range.’

Women of the Year has recognised, celebrated and inspired women of all backgrounds since 1955 and continues to shine a light on extraordinary women.

Sandi Toksvig, president of Women of the Year, said: ‘I am looking forward to welcoming all our guests and winners to the Women of the Year Lunch and Awards in London this October. I would love to show the room to every schoolgirl growing up in Britain today and tell them ‘you can be whatever you want to be: just look at these incredible women.’’
