Warren has announced that it has pledged its support for PICT (the Paper Industry Charitable Trust), by entering every member of its staff into PICT’s 200 Club.

PICT has over 125 years of history behind it as an organisation, having started life as the Stationers Social Society (SSS), which was formed to encourage individuals in the paper industry to meet up at sports and social events. The organisation later evolved to become The Paper Industry Charitable Trust, a registered charity.

As PICT, the charitable work that had previously been part of the SSS Benevolent Fund, which supported members of the industry in times of hardship and need, has been extended to include the provision of support for educational ventures connected with the trade and with schools.

Warren has purchased £25 shares for each member of staff and this enables them to be entered in to the quarterly prize winning draws, thereby committing much needed funds for the sole benefit of PICT.

Kieran Ferguson, Warren’s managing director, stated: ‘We have long recognised the fabulous job PICT does in helping those in our trade that have fallen on hard times. Entering every member of staff into the PICT 200 Club helps them better understand what PICT represents while at the same time giving them an opportunity to win some money for themselves.’
