The BPIF recognises the importance in giving the youth of the industry a voice. This is why it has formed the BPIF Apprentice Council to ensure that apprentices have the opportunity to shape the delivery of their training programmes. The council will also provide a platform for members to express their views on the industry and make clear their needs. This will all feed into the BPIF’s schools programme which aims to attract more school leavers into the printing industry.

The BPIF Apprentice Council will meet twice a year and the chairman has been named as Josh Levett-Thomas from Hobbs, who has recently completed his advanced apprenticeship in Mechanised Print Finishing and Binding. The council members have a representative from each of the six BPIF regions who are all currently undertaking an apprenticeship.

BPIF Apprentice Council is:

Chairman

Josh Levett-Thomas, Hobbs.

North West Representative

Liam Walton, Galloways Printers Ltd.

North East Representative

Aaron Quinn, Design Xpress.

Midlands Representative

Ryan Cope, The Sherwood Group.

East Representative

Luke Herbert, 3B Design & Print.

South West Representative

Alex Parkin, Burleigh Portishead.

South East Representative

Sophie Chuter, Windsor.
