Doro Tape is no novice at shows having exhibited, with a few breaks, at the national Sign and Digital Show in Birmingham since 1992. However when invited to participate in the Newtech Events it was immediately obvious that this was a different concept entirely.

Unlike the large national shows the whole idea of the Newtech events is to take the exhibition to the visitors. Held in easy to find venues, potential visitors are able to have a hassle free journey; spend a good couple of hours at the show and still get back in time to finish the day’s work. So far, with only the London show to go in 2015, there has been seven regional events from Southampton to Glasgow, Bristol to Liverpool and the new 2016 series of eight regional venues starts in Corby in February.

Doro tape found taking part in Newtech particularly useful. Having customers across the length and breadth of the UK, it gave the copny the opportunity to invite them along and give them a more thorough demonstration of the range of materials it supplies. Doro Tape has also established a number of good new customers at these events.

A case in point is with Gary and Sharon Thornton of Eagl-S Print Solutions in Doncaster. They travelled up to the Wetherby event in 2014 and after spending time chatting to the team became a new customer of Doro Tape from that time on. In fact they enjoyed the event so much that they visited the Newtech event again this year when it went back to Wetherby in October.
