Zünd's recent open days with Canon were attended by a special guest – the company's international CEO, Oliver Zünd – who officially opened the digital cutting specialist's St Albans demonstration centre.
Specifically designed to provide a dedicated space for demonstrations of Zünd G3 and S3 digital cutting tables and their complementary tooling modules and software, the suite was renovated to a high spec at the end of 2014. In addition to other events, the centre hosted open days with Canon, with printers from the company’s Océ range running alongside Zünd technology to show a complete workflow.

Whilst the Zünd UK arm is a family run business with a highly experienced UK based team, it also enjoys the benefits of Swiss engineering and over three decades of experience, with Oliver Zünd leading a workforce across the world.
‘We were delighted to have Oliver Zünd cut the official ribbon for our St Albans demo centre,’ said Peter Giddings, sales director, Zünd Plotting Systems (UK) Ltd. ‘It is an excellent space that pays tribute to Zünd's advanced cutting technology born in Switzerland over 30 years ago, while welcoming Britain's manufacturing industries to explore the newest engineering. Following the open house events with Canon and other brands over the past year, we are looking forward to hosting even more visitors to the suite.’
Zünd cutting systems are modular in design and thanks to a full complement of tooling and software the St Albans centre offers a chance to see some of the dozens of possible configurations and applications.
