Blake unlocks online opportunity with investment in e-commerce data services

Blake, the largest envelope supplier in the UK, has invested in several e-commerce and back office data feed platform to support its customers. The latest product specifications and high quality, web enabled data of more than 1450 Blake paper, envelope and postal packaging lines will now be available using FusionPlus Data, ECi Atomic Data and Open Range’s Get-the-Spec data services, GFK went live earlier in the year – ensuring the set up process is quicker and easier for a wide range of customers.
Tim Browning, operations director at Blake, said: ‘Investing in these data services will enable us to provide end-user customers with an accurate method of searching for our products, improving their online buying experience with enriched content such as enhanced images, video and a myriad of searchable attributes for the Blake brands. It is proven that high quality data using simple and effective search, engages consumers, increasing their order values and improving sales values via the web. A positive buying experience helps customer retention and repeat buying habits.’

Information about all of the envelope and paper products in Blake’s Premium, Creative and Purely ranges, as well as the popular SoHo (small office, home office) packs, will be available and include detailed technical product specifications, environmental credentials images and pricing.
In April 2015, Blake’s flagship Premium paper and envelope ranges started being stocked in all 112 Staples retail stores throughout the UK and via Staples Direct online.
With a heritage spanning three generations, Blake designs and sells over two billion envelopes a year and stocks more than 1450 paper and envelope product lines including many unique colours and finishes.
