PrintIT! and TheMagicTouch at the UK Skills Show

For the first time, the print, paper and packaging industries will be represented at the greatest Skills Show in the UK being held at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) from 19 to 21 November 2015.

Proskills will be teaming up with TheMagicTouch and the National Apprenticeship Service to showcase possible careers and apprenticeships by running a ‘Have A Go Printing’ – an opportunity for some of the expected 75,000 students to experience the print, paper and packaging industries through participating in skills activities.

Jim Nicol and TheMagicTouch team are donating their time and print equipment to show students what printing is all about and to let them experience the wonders of print first hand.

Jim, who is managing director at TheMagicTouch, said: ‘We strongly believe by showing students the great opportunity using digital printing and personalised image transfer applications will make the whole thing a bit more interesting and appealing.’

The Proskills’ PrintIT! team will be on hand throughout to discuss careers and apprenticeships with students, teachers and parents and will be issuing copies of the newly published Apprenticeship Guide to interested students.
