As Christmas approaches, so does the busiest time of year for the UK postal service as thousands of children send letters to Santa with their wishes. Royal Mail advise children (and of course any adults who want to) to post their letters to Santa by 6 December to ensure letters make it to the North Pole on time.
With 15 years of helping customers to create stand out direct mail, Blake is sharing how to make your mail eye catching so that the elves take notice of your letter.

Alison Wilde, marketing manager for Blake, said: ‘I love the idea of the North Pole at Christmas, with sacks and sacks of letters flooding in each day from children across the world in a variety of colours, sizes, shapes and textures. At Blake our goal has always been giving our customers envelopes that stand out to increase their likelihood of being opened.’
Research shows that using a stylish and colourful envelope is proven to have a 40% higher success rate of being opened than a plain looking alternative. At this time of year, businesses often receive a high volume of post with many disregarding items that appears to be junk mail so at Christmas, attention grabbing mail is even more crucial.
And, even if you are not writing to Father Christmas, but have mailings that you want to stand out, then Blake can help. The company
has just launched its Autumn Winter 2015 collection of stylish envelopes, paper and postal packaging ranges, featuring a ‘Christmas Delights’ section – from festive jewel tones to shimmering pearlescent options.
