The impending addition of the Jetrix KX7-S meant that not only did New Ink need to find new premises to fit the 2.5 x 3 metre flatbed, it had to remove the front of the building.

With so much investment at stake, the New Ink team recognised it would need to make some radical changes to the current set up in order to accommodate such a large format printer. However, not daunted by the task, it quickly identified a convenient shop just metres from its current premises. With some internal refurbishment to make it more open plan and some external work to enable the printer to be manoeuvred, the ideal location was found.
When asked, why did you choose a Jetrix printer? Andy Kordowski, large format manager said: ‘It was because although our latex printer is great at delivering, we were increasingly finding that we needed a flatbed too. We explored a few options, but the Jetrix just kept coming up as our preferred option. It does everything we need it to do. The key things for us were that they are clearly built to last, you have the ability to pause the machine mid job and you can print on media up to 100 mm deep. This combined with the warranty and that the primer is already in the inks meant it was the perfect choice.’
