KBA (UK) Ltd has strengthened its sheetfed sales team to meet growing demand for the Rapida press range.
Peter Banks, who has previously held senior positions at Presstek and Kodak, takes responsibility for sheetfed press sales in Wales, the Midlands and Scotland.

Peter brings with him over 30 years of experience in the print industry. He joins KBA with a wealth of knowledge and more importantly, a genuine understanding of the current market dynamics and the challenges print and packaging companies are facing to grow and prosper. The new appointment also allows Craig Bretherton to take over the new role of product and marketing manager, whilst Mark Francis takes responsibility for newly created areas in the North and North East of England.
Peter said, ‘KBA enjoyed a very strong 2015 and, with all the signs pointing towards continued growth, I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time. The company produces world class products that provide customers with a real competitive advantage. Its presses and solutions deliver outstanding levels of innovation and productivity coupled with superb build quality and customer support. It is a great opportunity and I am looking forward to 2016.’
KBA (UK) Ltd sales director Chris Scully added, ‘Peter is a welcome addition to our expanding team of sales professionals. He brings with him vast experience of selling complex, high value solutions and has earned respect in all of his previous sales roles. With drupa 2016 fast approaching, we are ensuring that we have the specialist skill sets throughout the entire sales team to meet and exceed our customers’ demands. This appointment provides further evidence that we are a successful and growing business, and that we are confident Peter’s enviable track record in sales will bring further improvements.’
To reinforce its commitment to its new product offerings, the company has also announced that Richard Warnick has been appointed to take responsibility for sales in the UK and Ireland for the newly formed KBA Flexotecnica flexographic printing systems division.

With over 23 years’ experience in print and packaging – in both production and sales roles – his appointment signals the creation of a UK based sales and service network with direct contact to the manufacturing facility in Tavazzano, near Milan, Italy.
Managing director Andrew Pang explained, ‘Expanding our growing sales and service team to include Richard’s specialist knowledge and experience in the field of flexographic printing will bring huge benefits for both existing and potential customers. KBA will also be able to provide an exciting and unique proposition for flexo printers in the UK and Ireland. Richard will be a key figure in creating the same partnership approach which is proving to be so successful in our sheetfed division.’
Richard said, ‘I am looking forward to building on the considerable advances that KBA-Flexotecnica has made in the United Kingdom and Ireland regions. It is exciting to be joining the extended KBA family, which has earned a reputation for excellence in customer support. KBA (UK) Ltd will be offering the whole package of sales, service, print performance and consumables. This will allow KBA-Flexotecnica to differentiate itself in the fiercely competitive food and flexible packaging markets.’
