Neil Fletcher is to become southern sales manager of Heidelberg UK from 1 April, succeeding Derek Gillard who will run the national second hand sales operation

Neil will be well known to UK customers, having been with Heidelberg for 15 years, most recently as the consumables sales manager. That vacancy will be filled by Andrew Hall who is currently the northern consumables manager.
Derek said, ‘With drupa on the horizon it is right to make way for the next generation who will not only be in Dusseldorf to help printers who visit Hall 1 but who will be with them on their return and moving forward.
‘I have thoroughly enjoyed my role in sales management and in Neil we have the natural successor. He knows the customers and they know and trust him. Now I have the opportunity to help printers trading out good condition presses, helping them achieve an attractive trade in price and offering those who cannot afford a new Heidelberg press the next best thing – a used Heidelberg model.’

Bill McCudden, who has handled UK second hand equipment in the past with enthusiasm, will now be freed up to focus on his wider global role.

Neil commented, ‘Derek has done a fantastic job and has an enviable reputation for fair dealing. That matters to me, too, and customers can be assured they will be given the very best support when they come to making investment decisions. Heideberg’s broad portfolio includes equipment, workflows, consumables and services and bridges technologies (digital, conventional litho, Anicolor, LE-UV, LED-UV etc) which positions us to be more objective in the advice we provide. We have a very strong sales team in the south (indeed nationally) and I am looking forward to working with them.’
Derek Gillard.
