Printers Superstore’s Leeds headquarters will play host to an open house on Tuesday February 17, showcasing the MGI Meteor DP8700 XL+ digital press, fitted with the in line DF Pro finishing module which cuts, creases and perforates inline. Printers Superstore became the northern showroom for MGI digital presses in September 2015. The two companies have been working together since Printers Superstore became an authorised reseller of MGI machines in 2013.

Printers Superstore joint managing director Graham Moorby said, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for printers to see a unique machine in action. The MGI Meteor offers something different which can open up new markets; for instance, it will print on a long format at 330 x 1200 mm, and on a huge range of substrates including offset stocks and plastics.

‘MGI machines offer high quality and high throughput at 4260 four colour A4 pages per hour, and offer all the benefits of digital including variable data, but with no click charge.’

As an extra incentive to attend the event, Printers Superstore is offering a special price for the Meteor DP8700 XL+, available to show visitors.

‘We see our high quality, sensibly priced offset machines from Hans Gronhi and Shinohara as the future of offset printing, and the versatile MGI product as the future of digital, with the two technologies working together,’ added Graham.

Visitors can also see a Hans Gronhi HG525 five colour B3 press at the open house event.
