Fifth Edale press for Kelgray

Kelgray has recently installed its fifth Edale press, an FL1, 250 mm wide press, at its facility in West Sussex.

Kelgray also has its own label converting facilities, alongside manufacturing its own print and apply labelling machinery.

The chosen FL1 specification was a 250 mm, five colour press with combination drying, which was selected due to its quality following demonstrations held at Edale's purpose built factory in Hampshire.

John Perry, production manager for Kelgray, commented: ‘With its small footprint and the advantage of being able to use most of our existing tooling, the FL1 was without doubt the right choice for us. Early signs indicate that on some jobs, running times have been reduced by more than 50%!’

This will be the fifth Edale machine installed at Kelgray. Alongside this purchase was an upgrade to an existing Edale E250.
