Following a charity lunch held in October of last year, the Birmingham Paper Trade Social Society has presented a cheque for £1500 to Cure Leukaemia. Treasurer Richard Tabberer presented the cheque to Geoff Thomas, the former Crystal Palace and England footballer, who has been working to raise money for the charity. This included cycling the entire course of the Tour de France. Geoff had attended the lunch and taken part in a very entertaining question and answer session.

This year’s charity lunch will be held on Friday 7 October at Bank Restaurant, Birmingham. Full details will be announced later.
