Taking advantage of an opportunity following recent floods was the ‘catalyst’ that has led Leeds based Mercury Print & Packaging to install a Komfi Delta 52 thermal laminating machine, supplied by UK agent, Friedheim International.
Managing director Mike Grayson said, ‘We had been debating whether to bring our laminating in-house rather than send it out, and following the recent floods in Leeds that took out two finishing companies that supplied such a service, this hastened the decision for us!

‘We quickly concluded that the Komfi Delta 52 was the perfect laminating machine for us in terms of its ease of operation, production capabilities and quality output, and since its installation it has proved this to be case.’
Mike continued, ‘We aim to provide ‘The Total Print Package’ in being able to supply a wide range of services all under one roof, and this appears to be successful as we have managed to build up a large and loyal customer base over the years that ranges from small businesses to large plcs and also includes public sector clients and NHS Trusts.
‘Our ability to now offer thermal laminating is another forward step on that approach and is one that is already proving of great value to ourselves and our customers.’
