AccuraOnline version 5 will go into public beta release in May and be previewed to invited clients only at the Accura Client forum – South to be held on May 18 at the Solent Hotel, Fareham, Hants. Version5 introduces a completely new, modern and responsive UI, along with a host of new and improved features.

AccuraOnline is the e-commerce and web to print module for the Accura MIS. It is a remotely hosted solution written using the latest Ruby on Rails, HTML5 and Ajax technologies and incorporates a clean modern UI with responsive (mobile) page design. It does not require the client to have any IT/server technology on-site.

Historically MIS providers have not been able to offer an integrated web to print component, thus over time integrations have developed between MIS and third party web to print vendors – with varying degrees of success.

This approach can create a number of pitfalls:

  • Usually one way integration only (orders into the MIS).

  • Requires IT and/or programming experience (in-house or third party).

  • ‘Clunky’ file management (e-mails, xml, attachments).

  • Not usually real time.

  • Client has to deal with two vendors (when problems occur).

  • Integration costs and extended roll out time.

  • Client must manage two databases (MSI and web to print).

  • Difficult to manage support/upgrades from two vendors.

AccuraOnline offers seamless, bi-directional, real time integration with the Accura MIS without any of these complexities.

In fact, ‘web to print’ (which focuses on submission/editing of artwork files) does not accurately describe what is more of a complete customer experience whereby the client can interact for both online and off line business with the printer from day one ie all client historical MIS data is synced out to AccuraOnline automatically, no matter how/when the jobs were placed.
