Transparency and reducing environmental footprint are the foundations of Lecta's commitment as a socially responsible company. It is firmly committed to sustainability. This is the principle that guides its business activity, ensuring that it is respectful towards the environment and society.

In a world with a growing demand for natural resources, sustainability is a key element in our future. This is where products such as paper, made from natural and renewable raw materials, recyclable and biodegradable, can make a real contribution to society.

In Lecta's case, a long tradition of best practices and nearly €120 million allocated to environmental projects since 2006 have resulted in significant decreases in all of the company’s environmental indicators, as demonstrated in its latest report with concrete data verified by a third party source.

All of Lecta's manufacturing sites are certified to the strictest environmental standards – ISO 14001 and EMAS – and it holds PEFC and FSC chain of custody certificates, thereby guaranteeing sustainably sourced wood and pulp raw materials. Furthermore, all sites have successfully completed audits for ISO 50001 energy efficiency, ISO 9001 quality and OHSAS 18001 occupational health and safety certification.

Lecta's new Environmental Report is available in four languages – English, French, Italian and Spanish. The full version can be downloaded in PDF format in the sustainability section of www.lecta.com.
