A note in a ‘suggestion box’ has led to the installation of an Audion Elektro EL-Matic EM 24H automatic L-Sealer + TE-Matic TM 18 shrink tunnel at Pensord Press in Blackwood, Gwent.

Operations director Karl Gater said, ‘One of our bindery assistants noted that our existing shrink wrapper was too slow and urgently needed replacing, so we took the comments on board, attended a couple of trade shows, decided on what machine best suited our needs, and following a good demo at Friedheim, placed the order.’

Karl continued, ‘The quality of the shrink wrapping is excellent, and in terms of production throughput, since the Audion has been installed it has cut down on wrapping times by more than 50%!
