Insight Print Media Limited has expanded into new premises, complete with a new Zünd G3 L2500 digital cutting table and wide format printing equipment.

Based in Bedminster, Bristol, the company was sharing a building and a Zünd G3 with another business, but decided to purchase its own cutting table to accompany its move to larger premises.

‘Zünds are at the higher end of cutting/sampling tables, with good reason; they are premium machines that offer quality and precision,’ said Kevin Davidson, innovations director and co-founder of Insight Print Media. ‘In fact we didn't think we could afford it but Zünd UK was able to work out a deal we could manage. Frankly, buying a cheaper machine would not be in keeping with our ethos as a business.’

The new machine has been put to work on a huge range of projects, from graphics for super sized hoarding structures to 3D parrots with flip flops for feathers. The business has also recently developed a range of temporary point of sale units for blue chip brands that are manufactured and distributed throughout Europe, and has designed and manufactured bespoke acrylic literature dispensers for a local brand with stores across the UK.

‘There is lots of creativity in Bristol at the moment,’ added Kevin. ‘We appeal to the many design agencies who are looking for a partner with the expertise and equipment to develop their ideas.’

He continued, ‘We cut everything on the new Zünd – Re-board, Dibond, box board, acrylic, wood, cardboard – and it does everything perfectly, as we would expect. It also gives us the flexibility to cut, rout or crease any material.’
