HP unveils new PageWide press

Print Solutions at drupa

Today at drupa, HP has introduced a range of new digital printing solutions. In Hall 17 the company is featuring a vast display of more than 50 digital printing solutions from across its portfolio.

It has unveiled the new HP PageWide C500 Press, a flexible, industrial post print corrugated solution. The company is also showcasing the new HP Indigo Digital Combination Press, enabling HP Indigo print and digital embellishments in a single pass. And, demonstrating the power of its portfolio, HP is announcing early customer adoption of its new HP Indigo 12000, 8000, 7900 and 5900 digital presses and a first beta customer for HP Indigo 50000.

‘drupa 2016 is a celebration in the graphics industry and an opportunity to showcase innovations that are transforming the print and graphics world,’ said Mike Salfity, general manager and global head, HP Graphics Solutions Business, HP Inc. ‘HP is redefining the role of printing with digital innovations that change the economics of the graphics industry. We have breakthroughs at drupa that aim to surprise, delight and inspire print providers with the possibilities enabled by print.’

HP is planning to start testing the PageWide C500 at customer sites in 2017, and the press is expected to be commercially available in 2018.
