Print Solutions at drupa
At drupa, Konica Minolta has officially launched the KM-1 to underline its commitment to the label and packaging markets. It has also unveiled more plans in its cooperation strategy with MGI as well as rebranding its commercial printing products as Accurio.
The KM-1, a B2+ UV inkjet press, can be found in the B2 inkjet printing zone, where it is running in combination with MGI’s Jetvarnish.
The company is also showing how a combination of its bizhub Press C71cf, GM DC330 Mini finisher and the Jetvarnish can reduce label print run lengths, enabling faster delivery times and opening the doors to value added on-demand label runs.
Furthermore, for those looking at optimising opportunities for digitally printed packaging, Konica Minolta is staging a technical showcase of a new technology: KM-C. This flatbed B1 format inkjet digital press has been developed for folding carton and thin corrugated applications for a thickness of 0.3 to 1.2 mm.
The new Accurio branding is a unified namefor all of Konica Minolta’s inkjet digital press and digital workflow solutions. Henceforth, the company’s commercial printing solutions will be known as AccurioPro, while the KM-1 will become AccurioJet KM-1.
