Print Solutions at drupa

The latest sale of Canon’s flagship high speed sheetfed inkjet press the Océ VarioPrint i300 goes to Signature Gifts. The deal was confirmed at drupa yesterday.

Signature Gifts produces a range of personalised products for some of the world’s biggest brands, from shirts and glassware to calendars and books. The company prints over 350,000 of these gifts every year and have been experiencing strong growth in recent years, particularly in personalised children’s books.

Kevin Spindler, co-owner, Signature Gifts, said: ‘The VarioPrint i300 is made for our business – its high speed, high quality and given that every unit we produce is unique, a short production run is vital.’

With the objective of driving efficiency and productivity, the decision to invest in the latest print technologies works in parallel with the company’s move into a new factory in Scotland, where the VarioPrint i300 will be installed in July.
