Kodak and Landa have announced a strategic collaboration to provide an automated digital workflow that drives nanographic printing presses for mainstream commercial applications.
Prinergy Workflow’s digital press management using the ‘Workshop’ experience enables an advanced level of control of Landa’s presses. Production decisions can now be based on real time metrics and changes can be centralised with the powerful Digital Job Ticket Editor.

These workflow and editing capabilities will provide complete control over all the JDF Job Definition Format (JDF) parameters understood by the press and can be automated through Prinergy Rules Based Automation. What is more, a remote console will facilitate load balancing, monitoring and reporting of the status of multiple presses in a shop.
A cloud based sheet optimisation and ganging feature is being shown at drupa as a technology demonstration that, in the future, allows Landa’s commercial printing, publishing and packaging customers to more quickly and accurately layout jobs for web orders.

‘We are very excited to announce the beginning of our partnership with Landa,’ said Allan Brown, vice president and general manager of Kodak’s Unified Workflow Solutions group. ‘We know many of our customers are looking to utilise hybrid printing and the combination of Landa’s S10P press and Prinergy Workflow will help them more rapidly make that transition.’
‘Our nanographic printing presses offer offset speed and quality,’ said Gilad Tzori, vice president Product Strategy at Landa. ‘The Prinergy advanced automation maximises the throughput of our presses and lets us offer our joint customers the industry’s smoothest, most productive digital solution for commercial printing applications.’
