Close co-operation between tesa’s sales force and the company’s research and development team has led to further improvements in the Softprint range in all flexo applications.
Customer feedback has had a major role in the process, resulting in a comprehensive plate mounting tape range based on two product designs.

The Classic design offers a wide portfolio of tapes to meet individual application demands for easy tape handling with PET reinforcement film while the Flex alternative will compensate for thin sleeve expansions and give best bonding performance on scratched sleeve surfaces.
tesa’s drive for best print results is delivered from the very high foam quality used, which results in better cushioning and resilience over time, even where long print runs and full press speeds are required. The range will also handle different bonding levels and product features on plate and sleeve side.
Richard Eeles, strategic segment manager Print and Web Processing,, said: ‘The print industry is perhaps the most obvious example where speed and quality must go hand in hand. This is a sector where downtime must be absolutely minimised. With our Softprint range we have been able to develop a wide range of product specifications with the consistency of performance that the industry demands.’
