Packaging Solutions

Cepac, the corrugated packaging supplier, has made three new appointments at its Doncaster specialist business.

Alex Wragg has joined as account development director and James Oatley and Carl Holmes join as account development managers. The new team members join sales director Tony Rayfield, strengthening external sales numbers to five, giving far reaching coverage and a tremendous depth of experience.

Alex has over 20 years’ experience in the point of sale sector, specialising in 3D corrugated display. He will work with the in-house design team to provide creative solutions for customers and to develop the Doncaster site as a design led creative point of sale and packaging solutions business.

The scale of the company and the chance to be involved in its growth attracted him to Cepac. He said, ‘I wanted to move to a leading independent company and get involved in influencing the strategic direction of the business. Cepac understands the central importance of anticipating customer requirements and operates with absolute focus and total integrity. I am impressed with Cepac’s ability to move very quickly and directly to satisfy its customers and its willingness to invest in pioneering new technology in an exciting and sometimes challenging market.’

Carl Holmes comes to Cepac with strong corrugated cardboard point of sale credentials, gained over many years in the sector. He has specialised particularly in freestanding display units, focus on a diverse client base ranging from cinemas to leading retailers.

Like Alex Wragg, Carl sees Cepac as a company with a clear strategic intent: ‘Point of sale is all about innovative and imaginative responses to changing market requirements. The company has anticipated market change and is really investing in technology – I like where the it is heading. It has introduced a new level of customer service and professionalism to point of sale. Joining the company now is an opportunity to help to set new standards in customer response and pro-activity.’

James Oatley has almost a decade of experience in retail related packaging covering a diverse customer base. He will be managing some of the company’s larger brand accounts and his initial workload includes Christmas campaigns.

James said, ‘I am excited about seeing Cepac growing and building on its group synergies. The investments being made show a very clear intent and determination to grow and partner with a wide customer base. The new sector leading technology provided by the recently installed HP Scitex 17000, combined with the use of new technologies to assist customers to rapidly visualise new products are great examples of this.’

Tony Rayfield, Sales Director Cepac Doncaster, said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Alex, James and Carl to the team so that they can extend our range of initiatives to a greater range of customers. In total they bring with them over four decades of experience and will further boost the already strong team and enable us to offer our partnership approach to a growing range of customers.’
