Route1Print e-book helps businesses grow

Route1Print has created a free e-book to help print resellers discover new ways to grow their business. Named ‘The Print Shop Revolution’, the book provides actionable tips to help print and copy shops diversify their offering and expand their current services.

Brand manager Jack Wilmot said the e-book demonstrates Route1Print’s philosophy to support print resellers in all areas of business. ‘Most trade printers only focus on price, which although important, only encourages the market to engage in a race to the bottom. We wanted to provide a genuinely useful resource for our clients that proposes innovative ways to expand their services and compete in the print market.’

The e-book focuses on diversification, relationship building and in-store experience as methods for print and copy shops to grow without competing on price alone.

Jack added, ‘The book isn’t meant to be a ‘how to’ manual, but rather a source of ideas to explore. We like to support our clients as if they were a franchise, without tying them to us with a contract or mandating how they run their business.’

The South Yorkshire based trade printer drew upon its extensive knowledge of the print industry, combined with in-house marketing experts to create the comprehensive guide that approaches business growth from alternative perspectives. ‘Having grown our business to a place in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100, we felt that we were able to speak with authority,’ Jack continued. ‘We know our clients know print, so we wanted to offer a fresh approach to support our reseller network whilst ultimately strengthening the print industry as a whole.’

To form the content, Route1Print researched the problems that print shops face at length, and tackled those issues one by one over the three chapters. It addresses methods to cultivate local relationships, nurture customer loyalty and personalise services to institutionalise print shops in their communities.

The Print Shop Revolution is another addition to the array of reseller tools available on the Route1Print site, as a series of resources built to achieve their goal as print partners with clients.

Jack said, ‘Guides and content like this are the next step in expanding our services for our clients. To practice what we preach, adding value and offering that extra level of support is central to our philosophy and what we are trying to achieve here.’
