Xeikon is staging a number of events in October as part of its Xeikon Café initiative. The series of technology updates has been created to keep customers ahead of the print, label and packaging production curve.
Catching up with the news and innovations demonstrated at Labelexpo Americas, this will be the focus of Xeikon Café: Labelexpo revisited on October 5. A conference programme in the morning will touch on recent developments in the industry. In the afternoon a range of workshops and demonstrations will provide better understanding of specific topics including colour reproduction, digital converting, digital printing and new business tools.
Xeikon press technology will also be demonstrated from the CX3 fastest digital label press and the 3500 widest digital label press to the Xeikon 3030 compact start up solution with in line converting based on laser die cutting. Converting equipment and colour services will be presented too.

On October 6 with the Xeikon Café: Folding Carton, it is the European carton printers who will benefit from an update on the new business opportunities made possible by implementing digital production capabilities.
It is an ideal follow up to drupa 2016 and the morning conference programme will touch on recent developments in the industry with customer cases. In the afternoon, a range of workshops and demonstrations will provide the latest on colour reproduction, digital converting, digital printing and new business tools.
Live demonstrations will take place on the most affordable production solution, the 3500 with in line waterbased spot varnish and the Xeikon FDU that cost effectively processes shorter runs. There will also be presentations on colour services and other printing and converting equipment.
Filip Weymans, Xeikon vice president global marketing, said: ‘Xeikon Café’s aim is simple but effective. It is to provide an informal knowledge exchange platform in the field of digital production. These events will enable our customers to have a clearer view of the print production landscape and how they can support their continued success.’
