i-Sub has added the powerful EFI Vutek FabriVU 180 and 340 high resolution fabric printers to its extensive portfolio.
Director Nick Davies said, ‘These printers are a tremendously exciting addition to the range. Graphics providers who want to drive their businesses into the soft signage market will be superbly equipped to print dazzling displays, high density backlit signs and so much more with ultra high resolution, ultra high speed printing. Thanks to their sophisticated print technology, the FabriVU 180 and 340 printers produce robust soft signs and fabric displays that retain the drape and soft hand customers prefer, while still creating spectacular graphics that can be washed and dried without wrinkling, folded without leaving marks, and reused time and time again.
‘The machines can print direct to textile or onto transfer paper, and changeover from one to the other is fast and simple. This means users can offer customers more choice in textiles while also saving money by using lower cost substrate materials. These 180 centimetre and 340 centimetre wide printers use genuine EFI water based CMYK disperse dye inks to print on fabrics weighing from 40 to 300 g/m2, and paper weighing from 40 to 160 g/m2, to produce dramatic, four colour fabric display graphics with a wide colour gamut and incredibly deep colour saturation.’

The printers provide ultra high resolution of up to 2400 dpi and four level greyscale printing with 4 pL to 18 pL drop sizes. They are designed for the production of flags, banners, wall coverings, backlit displays and other high-end display graphics. The latest system innovations include:
Patented ink recovery system, up to 95% of ink saving.
Direct to fabric or paper transfer.
180 cm or 340 cm width.
Printing speed up to 400/500m² per hour.
Small footprint.
Automatic self-cleaning functions.
High efficiency dryer.
Wrinkle detect protection system against costly head strikes.
The 180 provides maximum production speeds of up to 400 square metres per hour with a production image quality of 200 square metres per hour and point of purchase image quality at 132 square metre per hour. The 340 offers maximum production speeds up to 500 square metres per hour, production image quality of 250 square metres per hour and point of purchase image quality at 165 square metres per hour. Both printers are compatible with all popular desktop file formats, including PostScript3, EPS, TIFF, PDF and RGB/CMYK.
