Imaging Solutions AG (ISAG) is now offering a new automatic book press for the production of professional photo book blocks called perfectPress.

This finishing device presses book blocks into a defined shape during the setting time of the hot melt glue. The contact pressure of perfectPress is adjustable from 132.25 up to 264.50 lbs.

By using perfectPress, book blocks get a firmer structure and a more compact book spine. Additionally, this final book pressing has a positive impact on the straightness of the photo book, resulting in an increase of quality.

This automatic book press can be used as standalone unit as well as in line solution and is fully integrated in the bookbinding systems fastBlock and fastBook Professional from Imaging Solutions. The perfectPress book press is a 100% Swiss made solution for precise and quality photo book finishing.

An optional 90 degree transfer solution ensures space saving production, while the book blocks will be transported from the bookbinding system to the book press in parallel direction.

Additionally, a barcode printer with conveyor provides an improved order management. Therefore the book block will be aligned in a first step, before the barcode is printed in the running direction. As an option, barcode printing transversely to the running direction is available, too. Finally, the inkjet printed barcode can be read by a scanner.
