Royston Labels has been given a brief to print new labels for the luxury male grooming brand, Truefitt & Hill. The labels, produced to enhance the brand’s premium look and to update the appearance of their traditional range, will heighten consumer engagement and maximise shelf standout.

Established in London in 1805, Truefitt & Hill is the oldest barbershop in existence. Today it provides the finest grooming products and services to gentleman across the world.

The labels were produced by using a synthetic substrate onto which Truefitt & Hill’s dual red brand colours were printed using UV flexo technology. Fine detailed gold cold foiling under a soft touch laminate provided a matt effect, which together with a high build silk screen varnish completed the embellishment.

‘By pushing the boundaries of what is possible with cold foiling, we managed to achieve a superior level of fine detailing in the labels. We are very pleased with the end result which adds extra depth and quality to their packaging,’ commented Royston Labels technical manager, Phil Bradnam.

Truefitt & Hill’s Katie Broughton said, ‘We felt that it was time to update the look of our current labels to enhance the premium feel, which Truefitt & Hill is world renown for. We wanted to emphasise the appearance of our traditional range, whilst retaining the company’s corporate heritage consistent with our reputation for upholding the great British tradition of class, elegance and sophistication. Having discussed options with Royston Labels, what really impressed us was the huge range of materials and variety of effects they offered.

‘The journey to the finished solution was a good experience and we particularly love the look and feel of the soft touch laminate and detailed cold foiling. We have had some great feedback on the label which is very positive.’
