Faster than anticipated delivery of a HP 10000 B2 digital press to Page Bros in Norwich resulted in technotrans being asked to respond quickly with a chiller. The Omega cooling device was delivered and installed in under 72 hours.
Simon Conway, manufacturing director at Page Bros, said: ‘Today, a large share of our orders are digital based and we have had HP equipment for some time (we currently have both an HP 5500 and 7600, plus Canon, Ricoh and Xerox equipment) although this is our first venture into B2 digital and our first technotrans digital chiller. HP recommended technotrans as did another customer we visited and we had had good experience with them on the litho peripherals side. They were excellent in providing advice and response and the installation went smoothly.’

Page Bros handles work for publishers, government bodies and other businesses, combining journals, bookwork as well as confidential and commercial print. There is a high volume of contract work and the business has seen recent growth in all areas of the business.
Simon Conway was part of the management buy-in team which acquired Page Brothers five years ago and committed to on-going investment to strengthen the company moving forward. This it has fulfilled this on both the litho side (it installed a highly specified Speedmaster CX 102-5+L two years ago) and the digital side. technotrans bridges both technologies with its peripherals equipment which includes temperature control, inking systems, water treatment and filtration.
