Print Solutions

Printers Superstore is to hold an open house at its Leeds headquarters on Wednesday 30 November and Thursday 1 December. The event will provide the first UK showing for the new Hans Gronhi LC series laser die cutter, which will be shown alongside the company’s highly successful B3 offset machine, a Hans Gronhi GH525 five colour.

A bright future is expected for the new Hans Gronhi LC range, its first finishing product brought to the UK market. Printers Superstore joint managing director Graham Moorby said, ‘Laser die cutting means the end of metal dies, and opens up a huge range of possibilities for new and exciting printed products. Our open house provides a great opportunity for printers to open up this new market, and as always we are offering a practical and affordable solution. We are excited to be showing the LC laser cutter and we know from recent enquiries that there is excitement about seeing it!’

The open house will feature the LC340S, the sheetfed SRA3 machine from a range which also includes SRA2 models and roll fed and hand fed variants. It can cut, kiss cut, etch and crease at high speed – and can cut intricate and eye catching designs which would not have been possible using metal dies. It will handle a huge range of paper stocks and even works with other materials including plastics and even wood. Set ups are extremely fast, with the machine integrating into a digital workflow – and digitisation also allows for personalisation.

Visitors can also see the Hans Gronhi GH525 five colour B3 offset press at the event. This feature rich machine has given new life to the small offset market by delivering high quality print for a low investment cost, with low running costs, bringing a cost per sheet that competes with short run digital. It has a host of features including CIP networking, touch screen control and auto plate change, and is available with LED-UV drying and automatic colour bar scanning for on the run colour monitoring.

Also on view for the duration of the open house is a pre-owned Ryobi 524GX four colour B3 press.
