Morgana Systems has announced that it will be supporting Konica Minolta at the Steam Museum, Hawksworth Hall in Swindon on December 14 and 15.

Star attractions will include the high capacity System VF350/500 bookletmaker – a machine capable of producing folded and stitched booklets of up to 200 pages. Where there is a demand in the market for higher page count books and booklets created using much thicker paper stocks, this bookletmaker has the ability to stitch larger publications, it can be supplied with a lead edge trimmer and the Morgana SquareFold option to produce flat edged books. The BM500 is the first of the company’s bookletmakers to incorporate the new full colour touchscreen interface, providing very clear visible instructions to the operator on all machine functions. The BM500 can be supplied with either AF602 or VF602 feeders in the Morgana range. There is also a BM350 available, which is built on a similar platform and can produce up to 35 sheets of 80 g/m2, producing booklets of up to 140 pages.
Morgana will also exhibit the highly versatile Valiani cutting table Mat Pro Ultra V 150. This device immediately gets you thinking about lots of jobs you could now take on to add value to your customers and your business. It is incredibly versatile, being able to perform a wide range of cutting, creasing, perforating and embossing operations. For those involved in large format print production, it is possible to immediately see its potential for the creation of point of sale products, and for printers involved in varied short run packaging products – such as marketing or test products.

The Italian manufactured cutting tables are available in three models: the Mat Pro Ultra 80, 120 and 150, with the largest having a working area of 1515 x 1051 mm. All the models are available in a vacuum version for more demanding applications. A key feature of the Mat Pro Ultra is the patented tool change mechanism allowing tools to be changed in less than 30 seconds, meaning that the user can move from cutting to creasing, perforating or embossing very swiftly. A range of software and hardware accessories allows each cutting machine to be customised for different production requirements.
V-Studio is the Valiani Operating Software that drives the cutting, creasing, perforating and embossing operations, with specific modules available for particular tasks, such as packaging or board mount applications.
The Digifold Pro is the ideal product for creasing heavier weight paper stock up to 4 mm. Designed specifically for the professional digital or litho printer who has a need to crease and fold digitally printed, heavy weight or cross grained stock. The beauty of the DigiFold Pro is its simplicity allowing the user to invest in a machine that will improve their productivity and quality of finish immediately.
