The latest investment of a Konica Minolta bizhub Press C1085 will enhance the flexibility and speed of Cascade Group’s services and support its strategy of combining quality print, design and web solutions.
First established in 1982, Cascade Group has invested in and restructured its operations over the past five years, moving from a network of retail businesses to a hub and spoke model with local offices in key London business districts and centralised production units within central London.
Each local office has equipment for quick turnaround jobs such as business cards, presentations and posters, and more complex jobs or large runs are now processed in its production units.
Production director Richard Adler said that this new business model allows the group to deliver on all its clients’ needs appropriately from the everyday to the bespoke. ‘We opened a new office in Westminster this summer to support the growing demand for high quality, quick turnaround product combined with exceptional customer service, and have plans in place to open even more local offices across central London over the next 10 years,’ he said.
The legacy device installed in its digital production facility in SE1 was increasingly unreliable, breakdowns were frequent and the number of engineer visits required to maintain quality was constantly increasing.
Cascade was looking for a value for money solution that didn’t compromise on quality and would further enhance its colour digital print offering. ‘We needed volume colour production equipment and the C1085 met our requirements in terms of speed, quality and price,’ sadi Richard.
He continued, ‘We have another Konica Minolta digital production print system at one of our local offices and they score high on value for money, reliability and quality of output.’
