technotrans is seeking to expand its presence in inkjet, following on from the successful application of its cooling technology on the rollers and inkjet heads within the new Heidelberg Primefire 106 press.

The company offers the beta.tz for inkjet applications, the ‘t’ standing for temperature control and the ‘z’ for zones. It is also cooling process air so that there are stable conditions in the press.

‘We believe that inkjet has a strong future but we are not partisan because we can offer peripherals across a range of presses including conventional, LED-UV, LE-UV and anilox offset and inkjet and toner digital systems,’ said Peter Benton, managing director of technotrans.

‘The Omega cooling systems on commercial digital presses have become increasingly popular and now we will hold talks with suppliers of inkjet technology who can benefit from standardised temperature control. Removing variables from production enhances the quality, output and predictability of results.’

technotrans has diversified into other industries but remains committed to printing for the long term and to working on joint developments that enable OEMs to optimise the performance of the products they sell.

Diversification has enhanced its ability to take on projects and to tackle developments with a creative and practical approach and with an expanded resource of expertise.

‘We are seeing suppliers broaden their portfolios, many by working in partnerships that bring effective solutions to their customers. Certainly there is great interest in inkjet and nanography, LED-UV and LE-UV and Industry 4.0 or the internet of everything,’ added Peter.
