Windles Group is the latest customer to source its creasing matrix products from C&T Channel Matrix.

Windles Group specialises in manufacturing and printing greetings cards, point of display and premium packaging materials; it has a particular expertise in cold foil printing, a process which it pioneered. In a new Thame based factory, Windles houses UV litho B1 printing presses, a holographic varnish press and several finishing machines enabling in-house hot foiling, embossing, die cutting and glittering, making it a leader in innovative production.

Following a recent review, Windles has switched a large amount of its creasing matrix products to the C&T Channel range. Specifically, XTC Matrix as the were found preferable thanks to the flexibility of the film base. The new matrix is being successfully used in the production of cartons and greeting cards.

XTC is available in off centre and mini to accommodate every production challenge including capacity creases. Its longevity is unique in the matrix market and often outlasts other matrix on thin plates aimed at a similar price point.

Gareth Nottingham, Cadcam manager at Windles is pleased that he has made the decision to adopt C&T products, ‘The XTC matrix is competitively priced and the company is very knowledgeable about the products and the production process. Importantly, we have had no issues with production since introducing the matrix, which is great news for us.’

Windles is also taking advantage of C&T’s extensive accessories range including, drawing foils and Triplex patch up paper. In addition, the company is using cutting plates in 35 Rockwell ‘c’ hardness on its Bobst 106 Speria diecutter and is very pleased with the stability of the product.
