Needing to add greater flexibility to its laminating capabilities has led Plymouth based Deltor Communications to install a Komfi Sagitta 76 thermal laminating machine, supplied by UK agent Friedheim International.

Managing director Sam Shannon said, ‘With the wide range of products that we are capable of handling – one minute a 50,000 run of covers, the next a short run job – we needed a laminator that could offer both speed of make ready and added flexibility. After surveying what was on offer – and witnessing demonstrations – we found what we required in the Komfi Sagitta 76.’

He continued, ‘Once we had overcome a few initial ‘teething issues’ the Komfi Sagitta 76 has been working really well. In fact, depending on the type of job involved, with its speed of 40 metres per minute it can be said to have increased our productivity by 400% in respect of the reduced processing time.

‘As well as being very easy to set up and operate, it is more versatile that other currently available options, and for a commercial printer such as ourselves we have found the Komfi to be the most sensible solution if you’re involved in laminating.’
