Packaging Solutions

A range of airless dispensers from the RPC Bramlage division is providing a practical and ecological packaging solution for leading natural cosmetics manufacturer Nadine Salembier.

The 100 ml, 200 ml and 400 ml Vega AirFree bottles incorporating the Ecosolution pump and 20 ml Twist-Up dispenser are being used for a number of high quality face and body creams.

The packs’ airless technology provides ideal protection for the natural ingredients as it prevents air from entering the pack either before or during usage, ensuring the products are fully protected from any external pollutants.

As well as maintaining the products in premium condition, a key requirement of the packaging for Nadine Salembier is that it is has strong sustainability benefits. Both the RPC pack designs are fully recyclable. In addition, for the manufacture of the Vega AirFree bottles and Ecosolution dispenser, the weight of each constituent part has been optimised and the suppliers selected within a 200 km radius of the production sites in order to reduce the impact of transportation. The pump itself is produced in just four parts. As a result, the system reduces CO2 emissions by 30%.

Equally important, the bag in box construction of the bottle comprises a pouch with an EVOH layer which provides a barrier to oxygen.

The convenient 20 ml Twist-Up dispenser, meanwhile, is an ideal handbag size and also meets the requirements for airline hand luggage. As well as providing effective product protection, the dispenser ensures consistent controlled dispensing and hygienic application. The upper part of the container twists to reveal the dispensing head and closes in the down position to avoid mess and unplanned doses.

The packs create an elegant family range with high quality branding via silkscreen printing.
