Print Solutions

Increased volumes of outsourced laminating have led Toptown Printers to install a Komfi Delta 52 supplied by UK agent Friedheim International.

Production director David Irwin said, ‘We do possess an old laminator but this was not suitable for the majority of our work so we began outsourcing.

‘Having reached a decision to bring our laminating back in-house, we began looking for the perfect machine for our requirements, and found the solution in the Komfi Delta 52.’

Based in Barnstaple, Devon, Toptown Printers offers both digital and litho printing. Print runs can be anything from a single item upwards.

According to David Irwin, since its installation the Komfi Delta 52 laminator has performed without any issues: ‘All what we were told it could do it has so far done with no fuss and bother. It is quick to set up and easy to use, and with its very small footprint takes up no space at all.

‘All in all we are very pleased that we chose the Komfi Delta 52 as it has not only enabled us to do our own laminating again in-house, but it has also speeded up our ability to finish work quicker as we do not have to wait to collect the laminated sheets anymore.’
