One of the world’s leading label finishing specialists, Blumer, has added to its already extensive range of machines with the introduction of what it believes is the ideal banding solution for all small to medium (and some large) size production runs – the Labelbander 24.
Designed in conjunction with Bandall, it incorporates the most advanced vacuum controlled banding technology currently available, thereby providing an extremely productive and reliable system.

The Labelbander can, in most cases, be placed in line with any existing guillotine, and takes over the banding process for all cut to stack products. Regardless of whether the machine is placed on the left or on the right side of the guillotine, the operator can comfortably move the stacks of any desired load size onto the in-feed table of the Labelbander.
From there, the whole process is automatic: a pusher moves the stacks forward, separates them into a single row and finally pushes the stacks one by one into the banding unit.
During the banding process an adjustable pressure bar can be used in order to hold the stack down and to avoid any movement of the top labels. This also ensures a very tight banding, regardless of whether clear plastic or PE coated paper banding is used. Depending on their size, the stacks can be double or triple banded.
After the banding process, the tightly banded piles can be packed straight into boxes or be pushed onto a conveyor which transports the products to an automated sorting and/or packaging system.
The machine is available in the UK through Friedheim International.
