With not enough room in its existing facility, Spectrum Sign and Display took radical steps to reconfigure and expand its current building to allow enough space for the 2500 x 3060 mm stationary flatbed Jetrix KX7D. This also included establishing a dedicated air conditioned and ventilated room for the new addition to the company’s printer portfolio.

The varieties of signage Spectrum Sign and Display designs, manufactures and installs required an equally flexible wide format printer that could meet these exacting demands. A great deal of time was spent researching various large format machines both from leading manufacturers and less well known brands with the functionality of each carefully reviewed to see how it would perform. However, the appeal of the Jetrix KX7D shone through in terms of its multiple functionality and efficient productivity delivering 60 square metre speeds in production mode.
‘For us, there were lots of contributing factors as to why we went for the KX7D, but one key feature which was of significant appeal was the ability to pause the printer mid job. We have to say we have been really impressed with the machine since we got it at the end of the summer and it really does seem to rattle through the work,’ said Julian Robinson, director at Spectrum Sign and Display.
